Editorial policy
These are the standards behind every piece of content on Cuba al Detalle 360.
Principles
Accuracy, independence and transparency about our sources and our mistakes.
We stand for democracy, freedom and human rights in Cuba and take a critical look at those in power, especially the Cuban regime. That commitment never justifies bending the truth: every fact we publish is checked and attributed, and official versions are reported as such.
News, analysis and opinion
News: verified facts, without personal judgment.
Analysis: a signed explanation based on data and background, labeled “Analysis”.
Opinion: the author's personal view, always labeled “Opinion” and kept separate from news.
Sources and verification
We cite and link the sources of every piece of information. When a story comes from another outlet, we credit it and add our own context and data; we don't copy other people's articles.
Sensitive information is confirmed with at least two independent sources before publication. If something is unconfirmed, we say so.
Use of artificial intelligence
We use AI tools to help search for information, summarize documents, translate and review writing.
Nothing is published until I have reviewed it, checked the facts and signed it. AI does not decide what gets published and does not replace fact-checking.
Images
We use our own photos, freely licensed images or images shared with permission, and always credit the author or source. Illustrative images are labeled as such.
Corrections
If we make a mistake, we correct it as soon as possible and note the date and the change at the end of the article. We never remove errors without a record.
To report an error, write to [email protected] with the article link.
Advertising
Ads are served through Google AdSense and are always labeled. We never publish sponsored content without clearly saying so.
